Demi Lovato: I almost ran over Paul McCartney

Thank goodness Demi Lovato hit  her brakes: The 19-year-old singer says she recently almost ran over Paul McCartney.

"So.... today I was pulling into a parking space that some guys were standing in the middle of, and almost hit them," she tweeted early Tuesday morning.

And then one of the gentleman turned around....and it just so happened to be a Beatle. "Yes, YOU HEARD ME," Lovato tweeted. "SIR PAUL McCARTNEY!!! He was so sweet!! Can't believe I met him today.. WOW!"

Oh, and also: "I can't believe I almost ran over a Beatle....... "

Phew! Talk about a close one. But speaking of McCartney, his 2009 reunion performance with Ringo Starr for the David Lynch Foundation benefit concert will soon be available for New Yorkers to view.

Their gig was the first time the two had performed on an American stage together in 17 years, and New York fans will get to watch it on Sunday, April 29 via New York's Thirteen.
